  • Springvale South

What is building in Dandenong and Keysborough like?

Greater Dandenong takes in Dandenong, Noble Park, Springvale and Keysborough: established streets with older homes on generous blocks, and newer estates in Keysborough. It borders our base in Lyndhurst, so it is one of the closest areas we build in. Keysborough’s newer lots suit our single-storey designs; the older streets of Noble Park and Springvale suit a knockdown rebuild.

Planning applications here go to the City of Greater Dandenong (greaterdandenong.vic.gov.au); the building permit comes from a registered building surveyor.

What can Oakview build in Dandenong and Keysborough?

  • Knockdown rebuilds on established blocks in Noble Park, Springvale and Dandenong North.
  • New single-storey and custom homes in Keysborough.
  • Townhouses and side-by-sides on bigger blocks: coming soon.

Rebuilding in Greater Dandenong?

  • Homes built before the 1990s can contain asbestos, which a licensed removalist takes out before demolition.
  • Planning overlays (heritage, vegetation, flooding) are on your property report from VicPlan; send us the address and we will look.
  • Two or more homes on one lot need a planning permit from the council.
  • A soil test and a feature and level survey set the slab design and show site costs early.

Where else nearby do we build?

From here we also build north into Mount Waverley, Glen Waverley and Knox, south to Frankston and Seaford and east to Cranbourne and Clyde North. On a wider block, two homes can replace one: townhouses and side-by-sides are coming soon, and we will tell you straight if your block suits them.

How do you start?

  1. Send us the address: we look at the block, the title and the planning overlays.
  2. We plan the demolition and the new home together, and quote both.
  3. Once you sign, the permits are applied for: demolition, building and planning if needed.
  4. The old house comes down, then the new one goes up stage by stage to handover.
